Spiral Rings
Spiral retaining rings make 360o contact with the part. Rings are axially installed into machined grooves in housings/bores (internal) or on shafts (external). Spiral rings accommodate less force than a tapered section ring, but, they offer more clearance. Spiral rings are also more difficult to install and remove.
Available materials for spiral retaining rings include; carbon spring steel, stainless steel, and beryllium copper. Rings can be finished in oil, black oxide, cadmium plating, passivation, and zinc phosphate. Contact us today to learn more about spiral rings.Internal Inch Spiral Rings |
