Aquarium Fittings

Engineered Source is pleased to offer its own line of through-wall (bulkhead) fittings for the aquarium industry.  All aquarium fittings are made from virgin ABS thermoplastic for consistent strength and durability.  Threaded and solvent connections are made to National Pipe Standards for ultimate flexibility and compatibility.  Aquarium fittings come standard with a nut and gasket and are ideal for glass, acrylic, and plexi-glass tanks.  All gaskets have an o-ring profile on the tank side which allows for leak free installation without the use of silicone.  Standard colors are black and light blue, and custom colors are available by special order.

The 1/2" fitting assembly (AF-00800) accepts 1/2" PVC pipe or a 3/4" female threaded fitting on the back.  The front opening has a 1/2" female straight pipe thread which accepts any standard 1/2" strainer or male adapter.  Overall length is 1-3/4" and the recommended hole size is 1-1/16" to 1-1/8".

The 1" fitting assembly (AF-01600) accepts 1" PVC pipe or a 1-1/4" female threaded fitting on the back.  The front opening has a 1" female straight pipe thread which accepts any standard 1" strainer or male adapter.  Also available is a Low Profile, Snap Fit Strainer (AF-001604) that installs over the outside diameter of the flange for a nicer look and less intrusion into the tank.  Overall length of the fitting is 2" and the recommended hole size is 1-3/4".  Contact us today for more information on our aquarium fittings.
